Overview

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing your skills. You'll practice navigation and buoyancy, try deep diving and make three specialty dives of your choosing (it's like a specialty sampler platter). For every specialty dive you complete, you can earn credit toward PADI® specialty certifications.

About the course:
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about Adventure Exploration, Excitement, and Experiences. It is designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course. This course builds on what you have learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water.

You will be qualified to 30m depth (Divers younger than 12years are limited to 21m) anywhere in the world without professional supervision (where local laws allow).

Get credit! Each Adventure Dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course.

The knowledge and skills you get in the Advanced Open Water Diver course vary with your interest and the adventures you have, but Combining boat and shore diving, you complete an orientation session and 5 dives, along with 5 knowledge reviews, to gain this qualification. Deep (30 meters)and Navigation are required dives, but you can choose the other 3 from 15 types of Adventure Dives to complete your course. You can try your hand at digital underwater photography, wreck diving (You can dive the famous local dive sites like El Mina Wreck that lies in 30m of water), night diving, diving with underwater scooters (DPV), peak performance buoyancy and much more. These skills make diving much more than underwater sightseeing.

Some Adventure Dives can incur additional charges.

There are no exams or classroom work on this course: you just need to read the relevant sections of the Adventures in Diving manual and complete the knowledge reviews.
